Today on my plate: Ground Turkey with Kale
When I’m recovering from a flare, I avoid tackling complicated dishes (the easier, the better!). My priority is to create something quick, flavorful, packed with nutrition, and gut-friendly.
This dish is Ground Turkey Curry with Kale which I made with coconut oil, onions, garlic, ginger, turmeric, curry powder, and kale. I also added a dash of cinnamon and a teaspoon of honey for a touch of surprise (sorry curry purists, just experimenting!).
I've been trying to incorporate fresh ginger and turmeric in my meals because of their healing properties. For this recipe I also used #antibioticfree ground turkey from Foster Farms.
No violent reactions from tummy so far, so hopefully it’s all good! 🤞🏻
What are your go-to ingredients or dishes when you’re sick?
➡️ Gut check:
This is something I would eat while recovering from a flare and not during an active flare (the ground meat and kale might be hard for the system to break down).
