Tabo Appreciation Post
Tabo (also known as dipper) is essential to a Filipino bathroom. It is used for bathing and, most importantly, for making sure you execute #2 successfully, leaving your derriere immaculately clean. Furthermore, it lessens your guilt of using, and relying on toilet paper - the latter being something most people (here in the US) had to endure during the start of the pandemic. I was unfazed by the toilet paper panic-buying craze because I had my trusty tabo. And while I have elevated my bathroom experience with the très chic bidet @hellotushy, my humble tabo will still remain in my bathroom, providing a gentle reminder of life back in Manila during simpler times. For people like me who suffer from IBD, these bathroom paraphernalia - whether tabo or bidet - are simple joys we celebrate.
